The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) approved this Tuesday (23) an average adjustment of 15.77% in Elektro’s energy tariffs.
The distributor is responsible for serving 2.8 million consumer units in 228 cities, 223 in São Paulo and five in Mato Grosso do Sul.
For consumers connected to high voltage, such as industries, the average effect of the adjustment will be 23.72%.
For those served at low voltage, which includes residential consumers, the average impact will be 11.61%.
As determined by a law passed by Congress, the agency considered PIS/Cofins tax credit resources in the tariff process. The amounts available to the company, as well as the estimate made by the Federal Revenue until July 2023, total R$ 347.5 million, reducing the effect on the consumer by 4.47%.
The loan approved to mitigate the effects of the costs of the water crisis and the transfer of funds from the balance of the Itaipu commercialization account also contributed to soften the readjustment.
The new values will take effect from August 27.
