The number of Russian car dealerships with Chinese brand cars is growing rapidly. According to experts from the AvtoSTAT agency, as of November 30, 2022, the total number of dealers of Chinese brands in Russia reached 1,000.
Interestingly, as early as mid-October, there were 830 Chinese car dealers in the country. That is, in a month and a half, their number increased by 170. And now the “Chinese” are leaders in terms of the size of the dealer network in Russia.
Analysts attribute the growth in the number of dealers of Chinese brands in Russia primarily to the launch of a new OMODA brand (a sub-brand of Chery) on the domestic market. In a short time, she was able to form a wide dealer network, which today includes 96 official car dealerships throughout the country.
The number of EXEED dealers has increased by 17 lately – now there are 98 across the country. Chery has increased the number of its representatives in Russia by 17 to 181. Today, Chery has the largest dealer network in Russia among Chinese brands. Now Chery is one of the four largest brand dealers in terms of the number of dealers, second only to the domestic LADA and the Korean KIA and Hyundai. Geely has 127 dealers across the country, Haval has 120, Changan has 104, and FAW has 2 fewer dealers.
