Amnesty International warns Finland that cuts in the welfare system can increase the number of homeless

Finland is internationally known for its standard program “Housing First”, a social policy that reduced the number of homeless people by 80% between 1980-2023. Last year, for the first time in 12 years, an increase in the number of people who do not have a fixed home address was recorded, according to the ARA housing service.
