The São Paulo 9-Esmeralda train line experienced a fault in the electrical system on Tuesday afternoon (3), and eight stations were paralyzed.
Privatized and under the responsibility of the ViaMobilidade concessionaire, line 9 did not stop due to the metro and railway workers’ strike.
“Due to the failure in the electrical system, the circulation of trains on Line 9 – Esmeralda, is paralyzed between the Morumbi and Villa Lobos – Jaguaré stations”, stated ViaMobilidade, in an update at 3:54 pm this Tuesday.
The section with electrical failure involves eight stations: Morumbi, Berrini, Vila Olímpia, Cidade Jardim, Hebraica-Rebouças, Pinheiros, Cidade Universitária and Villa Lobos-Jaguaré.
An hour earlier, at 2:46 pm, according to ViaMobilidade, the strike also involved three other stations: Ceasa, Presidente Altino and Osasco.
The concessionaire reported that the “PAESE operation buses were activated”.
