AMD continues to move its budget processors to the Zen 3 architecture. And although Zen 3+ has already entered the market, and Zen 4 should appear in a few months, in some segments, the company’s current solutions still rely on Zen +.

AMD today announced the new Ryzen 5000C CPUs. These are solutions for Chromebooks. Maximum performance is not required in this segment, but the Zen 3 architecture will make the new processors not only faster, but also more economical. AMD itself is talking about a 67% increase in performance, while the iGPU will speed up by 85%.

And here it is important to note that the new CPUs not only switched to a new architecture, but also increased the number of cores. If the top models in the Ryzen 3000C line were quad-core, then in the new line there are models with six and eight cores.
As you can see, AMD introduced four new processors in total, and all models have a different number of cores.
New CPUs are expected in serial Chromebooks in the near future.
