Albert of Monaco’s Christmas look: red crocs and kitschy sweater

I monarchs, you know, are no longer what they used to be. With the exception of Buckingham Palace – although Queen Elizabeth has softened over the years – in most royal families, from Sweden to Spain, the endless labels on clothing to wear during public appearances are no longer considered vital. : the fairy tale has given way to reality, which in a certain sense can be even more captivating. An example is the Christmas photo shared by the princess Charlène di Monaco on Instagram, in which the whole family appears in decidedly casual version. Especially her husband, the Prince Albert.

A few days ago, the model and former swimmer made headlines for her new haircut with shaving leather side, definitely rock and with an underground touch. Which, however, has shown that he knows how to decline well in any style, as can be seen in the usual Christmas card with his two children and Albert of Monaco. A decidedly more “princely” image than the official one, compared to the photo posted on Instagram, where her husband appears in a red and Christmas total look, but with most comfortable – and least formal – shoes in the universe: the Crocs.

To complete the prince’s home outfit, a soft bomber jacket with a Christmas wreath-style brooch and a ugly sweater that could not go unnoticed, directly inspired by Santa Claus. Or rather, to his most famous quote: “Ho, Ho, Ho!”, As you read on his sweater.

A self-deprecating and festive outfit for the Prince, then accessorized by glasses with a reindeer-shaped frame and a classic red hat with pompom, which reaffirms how much the era of the “stuffed” royalty on every possible occasion is now over. Or at least, how important it is show your absolute normality without filters.
