Akazawa from Japan: agriculture will not be committed in US tariff negotiations.

Japan Economy Minister Ryosei Akazawa said early on Tuesday that he shares the position of Prime Minister Shigeru Ihiba that agriculture will not compromise to protect the automotive industry in conversations about US tariffs.

The Minister of Finance, Katsunobu Kato, has a visit to Washington later this week, where it is expected to meet with the US Treasury Secretary, Scott Besent, to discuss change rates.
