Air purifier maker Kronos Advanced Technologies has become the first publicly traded company in the United States to accept payment for its products in SHIB tokens.

The company announced this in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Kronos management explains that it is committed to supporting innovation and meeting the needs of customers using cryptocurrencies. To achieve this, Kronos is ready to provide the opportunity to quickly and safely pay for goods with memcoins.

In honor of the acceptance of Shiba Inu meme tokens, Kronos promised SHIB holders a 10% discount, which can be applied via a special code. Previously, Kronos began accepting the “dog memecoin” DOGE as a payment method.

“We are pleased to announce that we are the first public company to accept SHIB in exchange for our air purifiers. We are committed to meeting the needs of our customers who use cryptocurrency. This step is part of our strategy to include various digital coins as payment options,” said Greg Rubin, CEO of Kronos Advanced Technologies.

Recently, the American dental company Amore Orthodontic Aligners also announced to its clients that it accepts Shiba Inu tokens. Patients can pay SHIB for braces, retainers and other orthodontic services.

SHIB crypto assets are of interest not only to companies, but also to politicians. Last year, American Shannon Bray, who ran for governor of North Carolina, supported the SHIB memecoin, talking about plans to buy more of these tokens.
