With the inclusion of more than 2.2 million new families in Auxílio Brasil, 20.2 million socially vulnerable beneficiaries will receive a minimum of R$ 600 this month.
Until September, the amount paid was BRL 400, but a supplement of BRL 200, approved by Congress in July, readjusted the benefit – on an emergency basis – until December 31 of this year.
The state with the highest number of new beneficiaries is Rio de Janeiro: 336 thousand inclusions. Then come São Paulo (290,000), Bahia (235,000), Pernambuco (180,000), Pará (141,000), Minas Gerais (138,000) and Ceará (122,000).
payments
According to the Ministry of Citizenship, the payment schedule was brought forward. Next Tuesday (9) the aid will be paid to beneficiaries with the Social Identification Number (NIS) ending in 1.
The transfers continue until the 22nd for the last group of the month, with the end of NIS zero.
“The total investment by the Ministry of Citizenship for the payment of Auxílio Brasil, in August 2022, is over BRL 12.1 billion. The average value is R$ 607.88”, informed the folder.
In addition to the main benefit, there are other complementary benefits paid according to the profiles of the families, such as the School Sports Aid, the Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarship and the Rural Productive Inclusion Aid.
Goal
Auxílio Brasil is aimed at families in situations of economic and social vulnerability. In order to qualify, they must meet eligibility criteria, such as having per capita income [por cabeça] classified as being in poverty or extreme poverty, having updated data in the Cadastro Único in the last 24 months and not having divergent information between those declared in the registry and other federal databases.
The selection is done automatically, considering the poverty estimate, the number of families served in each municipality and the annual budget limit of Auxílio Brasil.
