Brazilian agribusiness exports in February 2022 recorded a figure never before achieved for the same month in previous years, reaching a record value of more than 10 billion dollars – the equivalent of R$ 50.9 billion.
The growth was driven by the increase in the average prices of exported products, with an increase of 24%, in addition to the increase in the volume exported, which rose by more than 33%.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, soy was the “apple of the eye”, with more than 6 million tons shipped to other countries. According to the Specialist CNN in agribusiness, Marcos Fava Neves, the scenario is encouraging for the sector.
“We were able to overcome oil cost difficulties, freight problems and place more products at even better prices on the international market. The agro is to be congratulated and this is a very important year for us to be able to consolidate this position as a sustainable global supplier of food, bioenergy and agro-products”, he highlighted.
