“Aftersun” child actress about movie: “I didn’t know it was meant to be sad”

The child actress Frankie Corio made a backstage revelation of “Aftersun” (2022) in a publication on social networks. The 14 -year -old revealed that she didn’t know if she was a sad movie.

“Funny story: I had no idea that the movie was supposed to be sad . Charlotte [Wells]the director, only let me read and know of my scenes. [Não sabia] NOTHING OF [cenas] from Paul [Mescal]. She wanted it to be very natural and truly unconscious, ”he wrote.

At the time of the recordings, Frankie was 11 years old. She star in the title alongside Paul Mescal, who plays her father in the plot and received an Oscar nomination for the role.

In “Aftersun”, Sophie reflects on the joy and melancholy of the holidays she took with her father 20 years ago, Quandi was still a child. Real and imaginary memories fill the gaps while she tries to reconcile the father she met with the man she was unaware.
