The new Disney+ starts operating this Wednesday (26) throughout Latin America and should offer a greater volume of content for its subscribers. In addition to having three subscription plans, it will house content that previously belonged to Star+ .
On a single platform, it will be possible to watch series, films, Latin American productions, documentaries and live entertainment from Star and sports ESPN expanding the content offering that already included Disney stories.

Upcoming releases
- The 35th season of “The Simpsons” premieres on July 31;
- The third season of the series “The Bear” premieres on July 17;
- The fourth season of “Only Murders in the Building” arrives on August 27;
- The new series “La Máquina” starring Diego Luna, Gael García Bernal and Eiza González, will be available on the platform this year;
- The film “THE FIRST PROPHECY” opens on July 10;
- The season finale of “Star Wars: The Acolyte” premieres on July 16;
- “Agatha Since Ever”, from Marvel Television, premieres on September 18; It is
- “Ariel”, the new musical animated series inspired by “The Little Mermaid” and “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place”, will arrive on the service this year.
Sport and Latin productions
For the first time, ESPN’s broad sports offering, with a vast catalog of live events and shows, will be available to Disney+ subscribers. They will be able to enjoy hundreds of matches from the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A and other European leagues, as well as CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana and Recopa CONMEBOL games in South America.
In addition to football, major tennis tournaments will be shown, as well as NFL football, the IndyCar Series and MotoGP.
New Latin American productions are also planned for the new streaming phase. Titles such as “Pedro o Escamoso: more scaly than ever”, “Meu Querido Zelador” and the fifth season of “Impuros” are scheduled to debut in July. Other projects are also planned for the second half of the year.
New subscription plans
In this new phase, Disney+ will offer three subscription plans. Check out what they are:
- Disney+ Premium: Family and general entertainment content from ESPN’s Star and Sports, with the best audio and video quality. It will be possible to watch the streaming on up to 4 devices simultaneously and including the live broadcast of all ESPN linear channels and all sporting events exclusive to streaming. This option will also allow downloads of up to 25 titles on up to 10 devices.
- Disney+ Standard: catalog of family and general entertainment content from Star and ESPN sports, with 1080p video quality and Stereo 5.1 audio; including live broadcasts from the ESPN and ESPN 3 linear channels. This plan will allow you to enjoy content on up to two devices simultaneously and download up to 25 content on 10 devices.
- Disney+ Standard with Ads: catalog of family and general entertainment content from Star with commercials, and sports from ESPN with 1080p video quality and Stereo 5.1 audio; including live broadcasts from the linear channels ESPN and ESPN 3. Initially available only in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia, it will be integrated into packages from commercial partners such as Mercado Livre, which will offer this plan through its Meli+ benefits program in these five countries.
It’s also worth noting that Disney+ parental controls will ensure that the platform remains a streaming experience suitable for all family members. Subscribers will be able to create PIN-protected profiles and set access limits for certain profiles based on content ratings.
