After mourning, Mariah Carey resumes rehearsal routine for shows in Brazil

The singer Mariah Carey stated on Sunday (8) that he had returned to rehearse for the shows he will do in Brazil and in China in the coming weeks. The American was in seclusion, mourning the death of his mother and sister .

In a video posted on her official Instagram account, the voice of “Shake It Off” and “We Belong Together” appeared singing a snippet of “It’s Like That,” her collaboration with Fatman Scoop and Jermaine Dupri, accompanied by a piano.

In the caption, Mariah thanked her fans for their support in recent weeks and said she is looking forward to her upcoming performances. The New Yorker will perform in Beijing on Sunday (15) and Monday (16) and then come to Brazil, where she will perform two shows: one on Friday (20) in São Paulo and another on Sunday (22) at Rock in Rio.

“Back to work. It’s been a tough few weeks, but I appreciate everyone’s love and support and can’t wait to see my fans in China and Brazil. Love you all!” the singer wrote.

She revealed in People interview that her mother and sister died on the same day last weekend, at the end of August, in a situation described by her as a “tragic turn of events”. The “Emotions” owner said that her “heart is broken” with the deaths of her mother, Patricia, 87, and her sister, Alison, 63.

“My heart is broken to have lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day,” he said.

As found by CNN despite the mourning, her two shows in Brazil are still confirmed. There are still tickets available for the performance in São Paulo; tickets range from R$195 (half-price for the dance floor) to R$790 (full-price for the premium dance floor) and can be purchased at Eventim website.
