After decades, Gloria Pires will end her contract with Globo after the end of the soap opera

Actress Gloria Pires and Globo decided to end the employment contract that the actress has with the broadcaster, which has lasted for decades. According to the artist’s advisory, after the current 9 pm soap opera on the station ends, Gloria will no longer have a fixed link with the station.

The termination of the contract with Globo is not the first for artists who stayed at Globo for years, such as Marieta Severo, Antonio Fagundes, Juliana Paes, among others.

Her first major role as an actress in telenovelas was in “Dancin’Days” in 1978, which earned her, due to the repercussions, the protagonist of the first version of “Cabocla”, which premiered in 1979.

Gloria debuted in 1968 in the soap opera “A Pequena Órfã”, at the age of five, and accumulated characters that made their mark in Brazilian television drama, such as Maria de Fátima, in “Vale Tudo” (1998), Ruth and Raquel in “Mulheres de Areia” (1993). , Nice in “Anjo Mal” (1997) among others.

In addition to the success in Brazilian houses, Glória was also the protagonist alongside Tony Ramos in the film “Se Eu Fosse Você”, which won the continuation and became known as one of the highest grossing national films at the time.
