After 32 years, the legendary restaurant of Bill Wyman closed

O Bill Wyman closed his restaurant, “Sticky Fingers” after 32 years, due to the pandemic. It got its name from their self-titled album Rolling Stones, released in 1971. The musician, who left the band in 1993, wanted Kensington Dining Room to be “a haven of good times combined with excellent American food,” according to APE.

The bassist is said to be “devastated” by the closure, as the restaurant meant “a lot to him”. A friend of Wyman’s told the Daily Mail: “He combined his passion for music with the enjoyment of good food. “But because of the pandemic, it was impossible for the store to continue.”

The restaurant was also popular with rock ‘n’ roll fans, as Wyman filled the walls and spaces with more than 100 items from his music career. Among other things, his favorite bass, which he had made in 1961 and played in the first meeting he had with his future collaborators, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
