The series of Apple TV+ starring Jake Gyllenhaal , “Above Suspicion” , received its first trailer this Wednesday (1st). The production premieres on the streaming platform in June 12 .
In the eight-episode miniseries, Gyllenhaal, who also serves as executive producer, plays Chief Deputy District Attorney for the Chicago District Attorney's Office, Rusty Sabich, who is accused of murder.
According to the synopsis: “The series explores obsession, sex, politics and power and the limits of love, as the accused struggles to keep his family and marriage afloat.”
The production is based on the novel of the same name — in English, “Presumed Innocent” — The New York Times bestseller, written by Scott Turow.
By David E. Kelley and executive produced by JJ Abrams, the series' cast also includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, OT Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard, Kingston Rumi Southwick and Elizabeth Marvel.
