Minecraft players are loyal and part of this adoration for the game was transferred to the movie. Every time iconic elements of the video game appear on the screens – like Jack Black stating “I’m Steve” or the iconic Chicken Jockey – the audience, mostly composed of young people and children, celebrates.
In some theaters from the United States, employees had problems during the feature sessions because people were throwing popcorn on top in the most iconic scenes.
After the public’s exaggerated reactions during the first screenings began to go viral on social networks, more people were tempted to go to theaters to see the movie and, of course, scream in turn, generating a chain reaction.

Chicken jockey
The apex of audience animation seems to be the scene where Chicken Jockey – a kind of zombie baby mounted on a chicken – appears.
In the viral scene, Jason Momoa is in an arena with a chicken while Jack Black’s character states: “It’s a fight to death, boy!” Then a box goes down the ceiling, letting out an entity on the chicken’s back while Black and the fight spectators scream: “Chicken Jockey!”
Those familiar with the game know that Chicken Jockey is a rare occurrence.
The theaters have reacted intensely when the scene happens, just like some gamers who streaming their matches react when Chicken Jockey appears in the game.
