A influencers from Hawaii was fatally shot by her estranged husband in front of her daughter.
Theresa Cachuela, 33, a mother of three, was shot in the head and killed by Jason Cachuela, 44, in a parking lot.
Her daughter saw the shooting and told police her father pulled the trigger, according to KITV. The girl was reported by local media to be between 6 and 8 years old.
Jason reportedly shot himself shortly after fleeing the crime scene. Police are investigating the deaths, which come two weeks after a judge granted Cachuela's request for a protective order against her estranged husband.
“It was not a random act, as the victim and the suspect were related,” the deputy police investigating the case said on Friday before the assailant carried out the heinous act, according to New York Post.
“We know he was served with a temporary restraining order, which is why this case was classified as first-degree murder,” she said, referring to the temporary restraining order.
“Her youngest daughter is the one who tragically saw everything,” said the victim's mother. “She is injured. This little girl has so much faith. He simply … began to pray.”
He added: “He doesn't believe it. She doesn't believe her mom is gone. Do not believe”,
“We are so devastated with the loss of our loved one. This was so hard on our family that we were not prepared for“, continued the grieving mother.
“Awe are currently asking for donations to cover her funeral expenses as we would like to give her the memorial service she deserves to honor her memory and say a final goodbye“, he added.

The victim's mother stated that the murdered mother had told her relatives that she had been abused by her husband.
“She wanted to leave him, but he wouldn't accept it. He was trying to control her with, with everything … where she would go, what she would do“, she told the agency, adding that her daughter had recently filed for divorce.
