A close associate of Erdogan challenges: If we wanted tension, we could do overflights over Attica

Ankara maintains its aggressive attitude towards Greece, with the director of communication of the Turkish presidency, Fahrettin Altun, accuses our country of overflights above her Turkey.

In fact, according to what SKAI correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, said that “if we wanted tension we could do overflights over the Attica peninsula”.

“The communication breakdown between Mitsotakis and Erdogan will continue” also testified Altun, who is one of the high-ranking officials who have direct contact with Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to what Manolis Kostidis said, Turkey is annoyed because Greece is trying to involve third countries in Greek-Turkish issueswhile “direct dialogue is needed”.

As for her sale of American F-16s Altun expresses optimism. “They will be approved for sale at some point” he argues, despite congressional gridlock.

Sticking to Ankara’s hard line, the Turkish official did not rule out investigations in the southeastern Mediterraneanwithout specifying where the searches will take place.
