62% of French people believe that Europe should respond decisively to Trump’s duties

According to a poll by the ELABE Institute, conducted on behalf of the BFM television station, 62% of the French believe that Europe should give a decisive response to the attack on economic protectionism it receives from the US, imposing similar tariffs on US products entering the European territory. On the other hand, 36% of the French believe that Europe should start negotiations with the US to avoid escalating tensions, which could end up in a trade war. In addition, 84% of respondents are concerned about the financial situation in France.
