6.5 Richter earthquake in Panama

Powerful seismic A 6.5-magnitude tremor was recorded in the Boca Chica region on Panama yesterday Tuesday (4/4), announced the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Institute, however according to the first data of the Panamanian Civil Protection there are no victims or serious material damage.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 72 km south of Boca Chica and the focal depth was 10 km, the USGS said. The US Tsunami Early Warning System said it did not think there was a risk of seismic sea waves hitting.
