The press representative of the Ministry of Health Hamas Ashraf al-Kindra told AFP today that “24 patients” died “in the last 48 hours” in the Al Shifa Hospital of Gaza, in which the power supply has been interrupted and where the Israeli army raided three days ago.
According to him, these patients died, “because vital medical machines stopped working due to the power outage” in the largest hospital complex in the Palestinian enclave, as reported by APE-MPE. The majority of hospitals in Gaza no longer has any fuel to power their generators.
Kindra added that as of yesterday, the Israeli army destroyed three buildings on the west side of the complex: the hospital canteen, the maintenance services building and the human resources department.
