The turnover and volume indices in the retail trade showed a strong increase in March, according to the provisional and corrected in terms of the number of working days standard month data of ELSTAT.
In particular, as announced by the statistical service of the country:
– The General Index Turnover in March 2022, compared to the corresponding index of March 2021, showed an increase 20.2% and compared to the corresponding index of February 2022 an increase of 5.6%
– The General Index Volume (turnover at constant prices), in March 2022, compared to the corresponding index of March 2021, showed an increase 12.3% and compared to the corresponding index of February 2022 an increase of 2.3%
– The seasonally adjusted General Turnover Index, in March 2022, compared to the corresponding index of February 2022 showed an increase of 2.7%
– The seasonally adjusted General Volume Index, in March 2022, compared to the corresponding index of February 2022, showed an increase of 1.8%
