At least 13 people have died in the Philippines due to Tropical Storm Yagi, while schools and public services are closed today, Tuesday 9/3 in Manila and neighboring provinces due to the phenomenon. Yagi made landfall on Monday in the eastern city of Kashiguran in Aurora province, where power was cut, according to a disaster management official who spoke to the Reuters news agency by telephone. At around 08:00 (local time; 03:00 Greece time), the so-called eye – the center – of the storm was located near the coast, off the northern city of Laoag in Ilocos province, according to a weather service bulletin.
