The movie “10 things I hate on you” will be adapted to a musical from Broadway according to the Billboard website.

Almost thirty years after the release of the film in theaters, the new production will feature the participation of singer Carly Rae Jepsen and singer and producer Ethan Gruska to co-write the soundtrack of the piece.

In her social networks, the artist, who became known with the song “Call Me Maybe”, has published some records about the production, which has no date to debut.

Launched in 1999, the film was inspired by William Shakespeare’s classic work “A MEGEL DOMADA”. For the plot, actress Julia Stiles, 44, played Kat Stratford, a teenager of strong personality, while Heath Ledger, who died in 2008, at 28, gave life to charismatic Patrick Verona.

Also according to Billboard, the musical will be directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, former New York City Ballet resident, who was also responsible for driving and choreographing the pieces “An American in Paris” and “MJ: The Musical On Broadway”, both winners of the Tony Awards.
